L.A. Hearne Company operates a diversified fertilizer operation that includes both organic and conventional sales and service. We specialize in service whether it is delivering a bulk load of liquid to ranch storage or applying 3000 lbs of chicken compost pellets per acre with our specially designed equipment.
Our customer’s include the most progressive and successful farming operations in “The Salad Bowl of the World” and produce most all vegetable crops available in today’s marketplace. We also service a very diverse and quality oriented wine grape production area.
Our facility is located within the Company’s main facility at 512 Metz Road in King City. It includes a 30,000 square foot blending and storage facility providing for both liquid and dry storage.
The organic sales and application of our business has been expanding each year. We currently supply and apply material to 10,000 acres of organic production.
Another area for growth and opportunity is in the area of specialty products. Everyone is looking for better ways to lower their nitrogen use but still providing the plants with the food they need. We have been testing materials for years and have gleaned some excellent products.
